A method of generating a current user interface for an application, the method comprising:
- receiving an indication of an event;
- obtaining a visual component for the current user interface based on the event, the visual component comprising a constituent of the current user interface that defines a function of the current user interface;
- and
- building the current user interface using the visual component.
A computer program product, tangibly embodied in an information carrier, the computer program product being operable to generate a current user interface for an application, the computer program product causing a machine to:
- receive an indication of an event;
- obtain a visual component for the current user interface based on the event, the visual component comprising a constituent of the current user interface that defines a function of the current user interface;
- and
- build the current user interface using the visual component.
A computer program product, tangibly embodied in an information carrier, the computer program product being operable to generate a current user interface for an application, the computer program product causing a machine to:
- define visual components for the application, the visual components comprising objects and data needed to generate the current user interface;
- define an invisible component for the application, the invisible component defining a navigation path to the current user interface, the invisible component having access to a configuration file that identifies the visual components;
- obtain, in response to an event, a layout of the current user interface from the configuration file via the invisible component, the layout comprising the visual components;
- and
- build the current user interface using the visual components.
