Foldable frame structure for a children's play-yard

A foldable children's play-yard frame structure, which is deployable in an open configuration and retractable in a folded configuration, the play-yard comprising:

• A plurality of support members arranged in a generally parallel, spaced apart relationship and projecting a generally rectangular footprint for the play-yard in deployment, each support member having a lower portion, an upper portion and a support bracket affixed to the upper portion;
• an upper frame member, comprising a plurality of side segments defining the upper perimeter of the play-yard a portion of which extends outside the footprint projected by the support members, each side segment comprising a pair of rail members being coupled in a rotatable relationship and having opposite distal end portions securely engaged with the support brackets and extending laterally therefrom when the play-yard is in the open configuration, the side segment further being maneuverable to effect at least one of displacement movement, axial rotational movement and swivel movement and foldable between the adjacent support members when the play-yard is retracted;
• and
• a base frame member, comprising a base hub, a plurality of extension members hingedly coupled to the base hub and extending therefrom to engage the lower portions of the support members in a pivotal relationship.
