Abstract
This invention pertains to an ink for inkjet printing, in particular to an aqueous ink comprising a self-dispersing pigment colorant and a hydrosol polymer to improve image fastness.
Claims17
An aqueous inkjet ink comprising a self-dispersing pigment colorant, an aqueous vehicle and a hydrosol polymer.
An ink set comprising at least three differently colored inks, wherein at least one of the inks is an aqueous inkjet ink comprising a self-dispersing pigment colorant, an aqueous vehicle and a hydrosol polymer.
A method for ink jet printing onto a substrate, comprising the steps of:
- (a) providing an ink jet printer that is responsive to digital data signals;
- (b) loading the printer with a substrate to be printed;
- (c) loading the printer with an aqueous inkjet ink comprising a self-dispersing pigment colorant, an aqueous vehicle and a hydrosol polymer;
- and
- (d) printing onto the substrate using the ink or inkjet ink set in response to the digital data signals.
