A method for reducing tissue accumulation of a lipidated glycopeptide antibiotic when administered to a mammal, the method comprising administering the lipidated glycopeptide antibiotic to the mammal in a pharmaceutical composition comprising a cyclodextrin and a therapeutically effective amount of the lipidated glycopeptide antibiotic or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method for reducing tissue accumulation of a lipidated glycopeptide antibiotic when administered to a mammal, the method comprising administering the lipidated glycopeptide antibiotic to the mammal in a pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- (a) an aqueous cyclodextrin carrier and
- (b) a therapeutically effective amount of a lipidated glycopeptide antibiotic or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method for reducing tissue accumulation of a lipidated glycopeptide antibiotic when administered to a mammal, the method comprising administering the lipidated glycopeptide antibiotic to the mammal in a pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- (a) a therapeutically effective amount of a lipidated glycopeptide antibiotic or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof;
- (b) 1 to 40 weight percent of a cyclodextrin;
- and
- (c) 60 to 99 weight percent of water, based on 100 weight percent of the composition.
