Image forming apparatus using plural fixing means

An image heating apparatus, comprising:

• a fixing member for heat-fixing an unfixed toner image on a recording material;
• a first pressure member that is brought into press contact with the fixing member and forms a first nip portion where the recording material is nipped and conveyed;
• a fixing temperature changing means for changing a fixing temperature of the fixing member in accordance with the recording material;
• first power supply control means for controlling the fixing temperature of said fixing member so as to become the changed fixing temperature;
• an image heating member for heating an image on the recording material, the image heating member being located on a downstream side of the fixing member in a conveying direction of the recording material;
• a second pressure member that is brought into press contact with the image heating member and forms a second nip portion where the recording material is nipped and conveyed, wherein a width of the first nip portion in the conveying direction of the recording material is larger than that of the second nip portion;
• a heating temperature changing means for changing a heating temperature of the image heating member in accordance with a predetermined gloss of an image;
• and
• second power supply control means for controlling the heating temperature of the image heating member so as to become the changed heating temperature.
