Automated compact ironing press comprising a base (1) on which is articulated a pressing arm (2) bearing a heating plate (4) for co-operating with one of the two ironing boards (5,8) installed in the base. The press further comprises a pressing mechanism driven by an electric motor (9). The pressing arm comprises a resilient mean (16) connected to the pressing mechanism at one of its end that may be displaced by the electric motor from a position where the vertical component of the pressure force is minimised to a position where the pressure force is maximnised. The main ironing board (5) is pivoted on the base (1) thanks to connecting levers (6) and may occupy a retracted position in the base and a service position above the sleeve board (8) which is rigidly fixed to the base (1). The press further comprises a water tank and a water pump that is cinematically linked to and actuated by the pressing arm (2) for spraying water on the item to iron during the opening/closing of the pressing arm.
Automated ironing press comprising a pressing arm (2) articulated on a base element (1) around an axis (3), the pressing arm (2) including a heating plate (4) for ironing fabrics or garments on at least one ironing board (5,8), the press further comprising an electric motor (9) and a water pump (10) connected to spraying nozzles (11) through pipes (12) characterised in that, the pressing arm (2) comprises a resilient mean (16) rigidly fixed at one of its end to the pressing arm 2 and at its other end to a at least one connecting member (13), and in that the connecting member (13) is moveable under the action of the electric motor (9) and transmission means (18) from a resting position in which the resilient mean (16) is substantially parallel to the pressing arm (2) bearing the heating plate (4) to a second position where the end of the resilient mean (16) linked to the connecting member (13) substantially coincides with the rotation axis (3) of the pressing element (2) on the base (1).
