Corrosion-resistant coupling means and methods for using same

A device for coupling two fluid carrying pipe sections, said device comprising:

• a substantially cylindrical coupling body having inside and outside walls and proximal and distal end openings;
• a retaining wall radially extending inward from the inside wall of said coupling body;
• and
• sets of one or more annular sealing members positioned between said retaining wall and each of said ends of said body;
• and
• wherein substantial surface portions of said body, wall, and sealing members consist essentially of non-reactive material.
