Abstract
Abstract of the Disclosure A switch having a body containing a switching circuit; a set of connector ports electrically coupled to the switching circuit; and a plurality of cables fixedly attached to and extending from the body. Each cable in the plurality of cables electrically couples a respective connector plug to the switching circuit, wherein the switching circuit switches to connect each of the set of connector ports to one of the plurality of cables. The body can include a circuit-protecting layer surrounding the switching circuit, an outer case surrounding the circuit-protecting layer, and an anti-slipping layer coating.
Claims38
(Canceled) An automatic switch, comprising:
- a main body having connector ports provided thereon, more than one or two sets of cable-connected connectors directly extended from said main body, and a circuit board provided in said main body and electrically connected to said sets of cable-connected connectors via signal cables;
- and
- said main body having an integral enclosure that is formed through three times of injection molding to include a circuit-protecting layer for enclosing said circuit board, an outer case enclosing said circuit-protecting layer, and an anti-slipping layer coating an outer surface of said outer case.
(Canceled) The automatic switch as claimed in claim 1, wherein said outer case occupies a major part of said enclosure of said main body and has a rigid outer surface.
(Canceled) The automatic switch as claimed in claim 1, wherein said anti-slipping layer of said main body has a soft outer surface.
A switch comprising:
- a body;
- a switching circuit contained within the body;
- a set of connector ports electrically coupled to the switching circuit;
- and,
- a plurality of cables fixedly attached to and extending from the body, each cable in the plurality of cables electrically coupling a respective connector plug to the switching circuit;
- wherein the switching circuit switches to connect each of the set of connector ports to one of the plurality of cables.
A switch comprising:
- a body;
- a first and second set of computer cables extending from the body, each cable in the first and second set of computer cables including a first end integrated into the body, and a second end having a connector plug;
- a plurality of connector ports located on a surface of the body;
- and,
- a switching circuit enclosed within the body, the switching circuit electrically switches the plurality of connector ports between the first and second set of computer cables.
A method comprising the steps of:
- providing a body;
- enclosing a switch circuit within the body;
- integrating a first and second set of computer cables into the body, each of the computer cables in the first and second set of computer cables including a first end electrically coupled to the switching circuit and a second end having a connector plug;
- providing a plurality of connector ports on a surface of the body, the set of connector ports electrically coupled to the switching circuit;
- and,
- wherein the switching circuit electrically switches the plurality of connector ports between the first and second set of computer cables.
A switch comprising:
- a body;
- a set of computer peripheral connector ports;
- and,
- a switching circuit coupled to the set of computer peripheral connector ports to switch between the set of connector ports, the switching circuit being contained within a circuit-protecting layer molded around the switching circuit.
