Abstract
A printing capable device includes a printing mechanism for printing on a printable medium and an onboard user manual storage device communicating with the printing mechanism and storing an onboard user manual. The onboard user manual storage device sends the onboard user manual to the printing mechanism and the printing mechanism prints at least a portion of the onboard user manual upon a predetermined event.

A printing capable device, comprising:
- a means for printing on a printable medium;
- and
- a means for communicating with said printing means and storing an onboard user manual;
- wherein said means for communicating and storing sends said onboard user manual to said means for printing and said means for printing prints at least a portion of said onboard user manual upon a predetermined event.
A printing capable device, comprising:
- a printing mechanism;
- a processor communicating with said printing mechanism;
- and
- a storage device communicating with said processor and storing an onboard user manual;
- wherein said printing capable device is capable of printing said onboard user manual upon a user selection of a user manual print option.
A printer, comprising:
- a printing mechanism;
- a processor communicating with said printing mechanism;
- and
- a storage device communicating with said processor and storing an onboard user manual;
- wherein said printer is capable of printing said onboard user manual upon a user selection of a user manual print option.
A method of providing an onboard user manual for a printing capable device, comprising the steps of:
- storing said onboard user manual in a storage device of said printing capable device;
- presenting a user manual print option to a user;
- and
- printing said onboard user manual if said user manual print option is selected by said user.
A method of providing an onboard user manual for a printing capable device, comprising the steps of:
- storing said onboard user manual in a storage device of said printing capable device;
- detecting a power-up occurrence of said printing capable device;
- presenting a user manual print option to a user upon said power-up occurrence;
- and
- printing said onboard user manual if said user manual print option is selected by said user.
A method of providing an onboard user manual for a printing capable device, comprising the steps of:
- storing said onboard user manual in a storage device of said printing capable device;
- detecting a power-up occurrence of said printing capable device;
- checking a page count stored in said printing capable device upon said power-up occurrence;
- presenting a user manual print option to a user if said page count is a predetermined number;
- and
- printing said onboard user manual if said user manual print option is selected by said user.
