Abstract
A spray drying process for preparing a solid catalyst and composition for use therein comprising a catalyst compound, an activator for the catalyst compound, and at least one compound selected from among siloxanes, polyalkylene glycols, C1-4 alkyl or phenyl ether or diether derivatives of polyalkylene glycols, and crown ethers, and optionally a filler or support.
Claims10
A method of spray-drying a catalyst composition, comprising forming a spray by passing a catalyst composition and at least one inert drying gas through an atomizer comprising an atomizing nozzle or a centrifugal high speed disc, and drying the resulting spray, characterized in that the catalyst composition comprises a catalyst compound, an activator for said catalyst compound and at least one compound selected from among siloxanes, polyalkylene glycols, C1-4 alkyl or phenyl ether or diether derivatives of polyalkylene glycols, and crown ethers.
A composition, comprising:
- at least one multi-dentate complexing-metal-based catalyst compound;
- an activator for said catalyst compound;
- and
- at least one compound selected from among siloxanes, polyalkylene glycols, C1-4 alkyl or phenyl ether or diether derivatives of polyalkylene glycols, and crown ethers.
