Abstract
Isolated nucleic acids encoding cis-zeatin O-glucosyltransferase are disclosed. These nucleic acid molecules are useful, among other things, to produce transgenic plants having modifiedcis-zeatin O-glucosyltransferase activity and/or modified growth and developmental patterns.
Claims18
A purified polypeptide, comprising an amnmo acid sequence selected from the group consisig of:
- (a) the sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:
- 8;
- (b) sequences that differ the sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:
- 8 by one or more conservative amino acid substitutions;
- (c) sequences that differ from the sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:
- 8 by addition or deletion of one or more amino acid;
- and
- (d) sequences that share at least 85% sequence identity with the sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:
- 8, wherein the polypeptide has cis-zeatinm O-glucosyltransferase activity.
A purified polypeptide, comprising an amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:
- 8.
