The information processing apparatus includes an apparatus body section having a keyboard and a display section having a display screen and supported on the apparatus body section for pivotal motion by and around a pivot shaft. An indication mark moving operation member for moving an indication mark on the display screen is disposed at an end portion of the apparatus body section in an axial direction of the pivot shaft at an end portion of the apparatus body section adjacent the pivot shaft. A control operation member for controlling an object indicated by the indication mark moved on the display screen is disposed at the other end portion of the apparatus body in the axial direction of the pivot shaft at the end portion of the apparatus body section adjacent the pivot shaft.
