Abstract
This invention provides a nucleic acid encoding a novel leukotriene B4 receptor, a vector containing this nucleic acid, a method for screening a substance capable of modifying the activity of the receptor by using a host cell containing the vector and the receptor, and pharmaceutical compositions for inflammatory diseases containing as the active ingredient a substance capable of modifying the activity of the receptor.
Claims17
A leukotriene B4 receptor, which is represented by the amino acid sequence described in SEQ ID NO:
- 2, or the amino acid sequence described in SEQ ID NO:
- 2 in which one or more amino acid(s) residues are substituted, deleted and/or inserted at one or more position(s) and showing the same activity of the leukotriene B4 receptor represented by the amino acid sequence described in SEQ ID NO:
- 2.
A leukotriene B4 receptor, which is a protein encoded by a DNA that hybridizes with the DNA represented by the nucleotide sequence described in SEQ ID NO:
- 1 or SEQ ID NO:
- 16 under a stringent condition and showing the same activity of the leukotriene B4 receptor represented by the amino acid sequence described in SEQ ID NO:
- 2.
