Abstract
A wet rotor-type pump, in particular used for pumping a coolant in vehicle motors, comprises a pump impeller (10) for feeding a fluid and a motor rotor (22,24) connected with said pump impeller (10). In wet rotor-type pumps the motor rotor is cooled by the fluid to be pumped. For protecting the motor rotor (22,24) against corrosion, the latter is, according to the invention, surrounded by a protective means comprising a ring-shaped hollow space (20). In said hollow space (20) the motor rotor (22,24) is received.
Claims8
Wet rotor-type pump, in particular for pumping coolants in vehicle motors, the pump comprising:
- a pump impeller for feeding a fluid,
- a motor rotor connected with said pump impeller, wherein said motor rotor is cooled by the fluid, and
- a protective means surrounding said motor rotor and sealing it towards the fluid,
- wherein the protective means comprises a ring-shaped hollow space for receiving said motor rotor.
