Method and device for processing a computer document in a computer system

A method for processing a portion of a computer document in a computer system, the content of the computer document being represented by a markup language, each tag of which having a name and a value, said value possibly including other tags, the computer document being associated with a second computer document, referred to as a “schema document”, the content of which is represented in a schema type markup language, said schema document defining the structure of said portion of the computer document, the processing method being characterised in that it comprises the following steps:

• (A)—selecting a tag, referred to as the “current tag”, in said portion of the computer document;
• (B)—searching in the schema document for a declarative tag of a predetermined function, associated with the selected tag of the computer document;
• (C)—executing said predetermined function.

A computer system, connected or not to a communication network, characterised in that it has means adapted to implementing a method for processing a computer document, in accordance with any one of the preceding claims.

A computer document of schema type of which the content is represented in a schema type language, characterized in that it comprises at least one declarative tag of a function, said declarative tag being able to be associated with a current tag of a computer document represented with a markup language, said function being applicable to said current tag.

A computer document represented with a markup language, said computer document being associated with a second computer document, referred to as a “schema document”, the content of which is represented in a schema type language, the schema document defining at least a portion of the computer document, the computer document being characterized in that it comprises at least one current tag associated, in said schema document, with at least one declarative tag of a function associated with said current tag.
