Abstract
A coating composition includes a thermoplastic dispersion and a stabilizer. The stabilizer includes the reaction product of an epoxy resin and an acid, wherein the stabilizer has at least two oxirane functional groups per molecule.

A coating composition, comprising:
- a thermoplastic dispersion;
- and
- a stabilizer comprising the reaction product of an epoxy resin and an acid, wherein the stabilizer has at least two oxirane functional groups per molecule.
A method of making a coating composition, comprising:
- providing a thermoplastic dispersion;
- providing a stabilizer comprising the reaction product of an epoxy resin and an acid, wherein the stabilizer has at least two oxirane functional groups per molecule;
- and
- admixing the stabilizer and dispersion.

A method of coating a substrate comprising:
- providing a coating composition comprising a thermoplastic dispersion and a stabilizer comprising the reaction product of an epoxy resin and an acid, wherein the stabilizer has at least two oxirane functional groups per molecule;
- applying the coating composition onto at least one surface of the substrate;
- and
- curing the coating composition.
