Wireless communication system using an impules signal train, a wireless transmission apparatus, a wireless reception apparatus, a wireless transmission method, and a wireless reception method

A wireless transmission system formed of a plurality of communication stations and based on spread-spectrum communication,

• an information sending station sending a data transmission request to an information receiving station,
• said receiving station evaluating the number of times of integration process for the received signal of data transmission request by which the integration result reaches a predetermined threshold value, and sending a band reservation request inclusive of data of the evaluated number of times of integration to a control station,
• said control station, if band reservation is possible, sending back data of band assignment in response to the reception of the band reservation request,
• said sending station and said receiving station implementing information transmission based on the evaluated number of times of integration by using the assigned band.

A wireless transmission apparatus comprising:

• a spread processor which implements the spreading process for information bits;
• a wireless spread-spectrum transmitter/receiver which receives parameter data including spreading factor;
• and
• a controller which controls said spread processor based on the received spreading factor.

A wireless transmission apparatus comprising:

• an integration processor which implements the integration process for a data signal of a data transmission request;
• and
• a controller which operates on said integration processor to evaluate the number of times of integration, and operates on a wireless spread-spectrum transmitter/receiver to transmit data of the evaluated number of times of integration;
• said controller, on receiving data which is transmitted with the spreading factor derived from the number of times of integration, operates on said integration processor to implement the integration process by the evaluated number of times of integration thereby to reproduce information bits.

A method of wireless transmission comprising the steps of:

• transmitting a data transmission request;
• evaluating the number of times of integration process for the received signal of data transmission request by which the integration result reaches a predetermined threshold value, and sending parameter data including the evaluated number of times of integration in response to the data transmission request;
• receiving the parameter data including the number of times of integration, and determining a spreading factor based on the number of times of integration;
• and
• spreading information bits with the determined spreading factor, and transmitting the spread information bits.

A method of wireless transmission comprising the steps of:

• receiving a spread signal which has been spread with a spread code series derived from N-time repetition of a certain spread code;
• integrating a de-spread signal resulting from multiplication of the spread code to the received signal, and evaluating the number of times of integration process by which the integration result reaches a predetermined threshold value;
• indicating the evaluated number of times of integration to the sending party of transmission;
• and
• implementing the integration process by the number of times of integration for a radio wave signal which is sent in response to the indication.

A method of wireless transmission using an impulse signal train, said method comprising the operations of:

• implementing the spreading process for an information signal by using a spread code which is produced based on a unit spread code;
• producing an impulse signal train from a spread signal resulting from the spreading process;
• and
• transmitting the impulse signal train.

A method of wireless reception using an impulse signal train, said method comprising the operations of:

• receiving an impulse signal train;
• implementing the de-spreading process for the impulse signal train by using a unit de-spread code;
• and
• implementing the integration process a certain number of times for a de-spread signal resulting from the de-spreading process.

In a wireless transmission apparatus including a spread processor which implements the spread process for information bits, a wireless spread-spectrum transmitter/receiver which converts the spread information bits into a radio wave signal, and controller which controls said spread processor and said wireless spread-spectrum transmitter/receiver, a program for operating a computation means to function as said controller comprises the steps of:

• operating on said wireless spread-spectrum transmitter/receiver to transmit a data transmission request;
• operating on said wireless spread-spectrum transmitter/receiver to receive parameter data including the number of times of integration process sent back in response to the data transmission request;
• determining a spreading factor based on the number of times of integration included in the parameter data;
• and
• operating on said spread processor to spread information bits with the spreading factor.

In a wireless transmission apparatus including a wireless spread-spectrum transmitter/receiver which receives a signal which has been spread with a spread code series derived from N-time repetition of a certain spread code and retrieves a de-spread signal from the received signal, an integration processor which implements the integration process for the de-spread signal, and controller which controls said wireless spread-spectrum transmitter/receiver and said integration processor, a program for operating a computation means to function as said controller comprises the steps of:

• operating on said wireless spread-spectrum transmitter/receiver to multiply a certain spread code to the received signal thereby to retrieve a de-spread signal;
• operating on said integration processor to evaluate the number of times of integration by which the integration result for the de-spread signal reaches a predetermined threshold value;
• operating on said wireless spread-spectrum transmitter/receiver to transmit indication data including the evaluated number of times of integration;
• and
• operating on said integration processor to integrate, by the evaluated number of times of integration, the de-spread signal carried by a radio wave signal which is transmitted in response to the transmission of indication data.
