Abstract
A throwing game and goal therefor. At least two skeletal frame members and netlike coverings therefor are provided. Each of the skeletal frame members defines a frontal area encompassed by the respective covering. The frontal area encompassed by one of the skeletal frame members is less than the frontal area encompassed by the other skeletal frame member, and the two skeletal frame members are substantially overlappingly disposed with respect to each other so that the respective netlike coverings form higher point and a lower point goal zones.
Claims22
A goal for a throwing game, comprising:
- a first skeletal frame having a first netlike covering and defining a first frontal area encompassed by said covering;
- and
- a second skeletal frame having a second netlike covering and defining a second frontal area encompassed by said second netlike covering, said second frontal area being smaller than said first frontal area and said second skeletal frame being frontally overlappingly disposed with respect to said first skeletal frame so that a portion of said first frontal area is frontally blocked by said second netlike covering and another portion of said first frontal area is not frontally blocked by said second netlike covering, to form a goal having a higher point goal zone defined by at least part of said second frontal area and a lower point goal zone defined by said other portion of said first frontal area.
A throwing game and goal therefor, comprising:
- a first skeletal frame having a first netlike covering and defining a first frontal area encompassed by said covering;
- a second skeletal frame having a second netlike covering and defining a second frontal area encompassed by said second netlike covering, said second frontal area being smaller than said first frontal area and said second skeletal frame being frontally overlappingly disposed with respect to said first skeletal frame so that a portion of said first frontal area, is frontally blocked by said second netlike covering and another portion of said first frontal area is not frontally blocked by said second netlike covering, to form a goal having a higher point goal zone defined by at least part of said second frontal area and a lower point goal zone defined by said other portion of said first frontal area;
- and
- a flying disk for throwing toward said goal as at least part of the game.
A method for playing a throwing game, comprising:
- providing a first skeletal frame having a first netlike covering and defining a first frontal area encompassed by said covering;
- providing a second skeletal frame having a second netlike covering and defining a second frontal area encompassed by said second netlike covering, said second frontal area being smaller than said first frontal area and said second skeletal frame being frontally overlappingly disposed with respect to said first skeletal frame so that a portion of said first frontal area, is frontally blocked by said second netlike covering and another portion of said first frontal area is not frontally blocked by said second netlike covering, to form a goal having a higher point goal zone defined by at least part of said second frontal area and a lower point goal zone defined by said other portion of said first frontal area;
- situating a player a predetermined distance away from said goal;
- and
- throwing, by said player, an object toward said goal wherein, if said object hits said higher point goal zone, the method includes attributing, to said player, a first score and, if said object hits said lower point goal zone, the method includes attributing, to said player, a second score less than said first score.
