Abstract
Methods of transferring molecules from a matrix to a coated laminate having an ionic surface are disclosed. Coated laminates having an ionic surface also are disclosed.
Claims63
A method of transferring sample molecules positioned within a matrix to a laminate comprising:
- contacting the matrix with a laminate to transfer one or more sample molecules from the matrix to the laminate, the laminate comprising:
- a substrate comprising a shrinkable polymeric film, and
- a coating disposed on the polymeric film and comprising an ionic surface.
A method of preparing sample molecules positioned within a matrix for analysis comprising:
- contacting the matrix with a shrinkable laminate having a topographical surface area and a projected surface area so that one or more sample molecules are transferred from the matrix to the laminate, the laminate comprising:
- a substrate comprising a polymeric film,
- a coating disposed on the polymeric film and comprising an ionic surface;
- and
- shrinking the laminate so that the topographical surface area is greater than the projected surface area.
