Abstract
The invention provides Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) vaccine candidate peptides. The invention also provides a method for identifying Mtb vaccine candidate peptides as well as vaccines comprising these Mtb candidate peptides.
Claims12
A vaccine comprising:
- a Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) vaccine candidate peptide containing an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs:
- 1-28, in an immunologically acceptable excipient.
A recombinant Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) vaccine candidate peptide, comprising:
- a peptide containing an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs:
- 1-28, wherein the peptide is expressed from a recombinant polynucleotide.
A method for inducing an anti-Mycobacterium tuberculosis (anti-Mtb) immune response, comprising:
- administering to a mammalian subject a Mtb vaccine candidate peptide containing an amino acid sequence selected from the consisting of SEQ ID NOs:1-28.
