Abstract
A method for controlling operation of shifting elements for an automatic transmission. According to the invention, each control cycle, for similar controls, is configured to shift in an overlapping manner during operation of the automatic transmission.

Device for control of shifting elements of automatic transmissions, characterized in that it has a storage system and a control system and that in the storage system are stored cycles that overlap in shifting manner which can be activated by the control systems.
