Abstract
The invention relates to an endoscope shaft comprising a hose body which forms a central working conduit and a number of functional conduits. According to the invention, the hose body is manufactured of an extruded synthetic material surrounded by a silicone clothing or cover which forms the outer layer of the endoscope shaft.
Claims13
An endoscope shaft comprising a hose body (20) forming a central working conduit (21) and a number of functional conduits (22), characterized in that
- the hose body (20) consists of an extruded synthetic material surrounded by a silicone clothing or cover (24) which constitutes the outer layer of the shaft.
An endoscope shaft according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that
- the hose body (20) includes at its shell surface a number of longitudinal recesses (23) or grooves arranged at an equal angular distance which form further functional conduits together with the silicone cover (24) surrounding the shell surface.
An endoscope shaft according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by a movable distal end portion and an operating device which is operatively connected through the endoscope shaft with the distal end portion for the operation thereof, the distal end portion comprising a plurality of longitudinally stacked swelling bodies two of which at a time are located diametrically with respect to each other and form a layer and two longitudinally directly adjacent pairs of bodies of which at a time are phase-shifted by 90°.
