In a method for producing an electrical connection between a flexible printed-circuit board (1) and a metallic mating contact member (8), a light-radiating opening (5) is formed in a first insulating layer (2) and a connecting opening (6) is formed in a second insulating layer (3). A section (8a) of the metallic mating contact member (8) is brought into bearing contact with a conductor track (4) through the connecting opening (6). Welding/soldering of the conductor track (4) to the connecting section (8a) is brought about by radiant heating by means of laser light (9) directed through the light-radiating opening (5).
A method for producing an electrical connection between a flexible printed-circuit board constructed from first and second insulating layers and at least one metallic conductor track there between, and a metallic mating contact member, comprising forming a light-radiating opening in a first insulating layer;
An electrical connection site between a flexible printed-circuit board and a metallic mating contact member, comprising a flexible printed-circuit board constructed from first and second insulating layers and at least one metallic conductor track there between, a light-transmitting opening formed in a first insulating layer, a connecting opening formed opposite the light-radiating opening in the second insulating layer, wherein the metallic mating contact member comprises a connecting section having a lateral dimension which is smaller than the width of the connecting opening, and wherein the connecting section protrudes through the connecting opening for welding or soldering to the metallic conductor track by a laser light directed through the light-radiating opening.
