Apparatus and method for processing image

An image processing apparatus, comprising:

• means for supplying an image signal which represents a predetermined picture;
• means for storing first image signals supplied by said supplying means;
• means for reading said first image signals stored in said storing means in accordance with a supplying operation of a second image signals by said supplying means;
• means for combining said first image signal and said second image signal in a predetermined ratio, wherein said ratio is determined in accordance with a position of said predetermined picture.

An image processing apparatus, comprising:

• combining means for combining a first image data and a second image data on the basis of the weights thereof and outputting it;
• counter means for counting in synchronization with at least one of the first and second image data in a main scanning or subscanning direction or in both of the directions;
• and
• control means for changing the weighting factors combined by the combining means on the basis of the count value of the counter means.
