A platform supports multiple processes, including market processes having respective market methodologies, trading processes having trading methodologies, platform processes providing services to the market processes and trading processes, and representation processes for coupling the market processes to external markets. The trading processes interact with each other and with external markets through the market processes.

A method of facilitating trading on a platform supporting multiple processes, comprising:
- automatically operating at least two market processes having respective market methodologies, and
- automatically enabling at least two trading processes to trade with each other at the market processes according to the respective market methodologies.
A method of facilitating trading, comprising:
- operating a market process having a market methodology selected from a set of market methodologies, and
- operating a representation process for selectively transmitting an order action between the market process and an external market.
