Directional coupler, high frequency circuit module and wireless communication system

A directional coupler, comprising:

• a dielectric material substrate;
• a first line and a second line allocated to an intermediate stage of said dielectric material substrate or to a front surface and the intermediate stage of said dielectric material substrate via a dielectric material layer with a part thereof overlapped for a predetermined length;
• and
• terminals respectively connected to both ends of said first line and second line;
• wherein
• widths of the portions overlapping with each other of said first line and second line are different from each other.

A high frequency circuit module, comprising:

• an input terminal;
• an output terminal;
• a control terminal for receiving a power control signal;
• an amplifying system including a plurality of amplifying stages connected between said input terminal and said output terminal;
• a directional coupler for detecting an output of said amplifying system;
• wherein
• said amplifying system is controlled in its power with a power control signal supplied to said control terminal,
• said directional coupler includes a first line connected to said output terminal and a second line that outputs a signal to form the power control signal to be supplied to said control terminal, and
• a width of the first line is different from a width of the second line.

A high frequency circuit module comprising:

• an input terminal;
• an output terminal;
• a power control terminal for receiving a power control signal;
• an amplifying system including a plurality of amplifying stages provided between said input terminal and said output terminal;
• a directional coupler for detecting an output of said amplifying system;
• an output control circuit for receiving said power control signal and a power detection signal of said directional coupler and for supplying the power control signal to said amplifying system, wherein
• said directional coupler includes a first line connected to said output terminal and a second line for outputting said power detection signal, and a width of the first line is different from a width of the second line.

A high frequency circuit module comprising:

• an input terminal;
• an antenna terminal;
• a control terminal for receiving a power control signal;
• an antenna switch terminal;
• a receiving terminal;
• a power detection terminal;
• an amplifying system including a plurality of amplifying stages that are connected in series with each other and connected at the first stage to said input terminal;
• a filter to which an output of said amplifying system is supplied;
• an antenna switch circuit connected to the output terminal of said filter, said antenna switch terminal, said receiving terminal and antenna terminal respectively;
• and
• a directional coupler for detecting an output of said amplifying system;
• wherein
• a power of said amplifying system is controlled with a power control signal supplied to said control terminal, said directional coupler includes a first line to which said output is supplied and a second line for outputting a signal to form the power control signal to be supplied to said control terminal, and a width of the first line is different from a width of the second line.

A high frequency circuit module, comprising:

• an input terminal;
• an antenna terminal;
• a power control terminal for receiving a power control signal;
• an antenna switch terminal;
• a receiving terminal;
• an amplifying system including a plurality of amplifying stages coupled to said input terminal and connected in series with each other;
• a filter to which an output of said amplifying system is supplied;
• an antenna switch circuit connected respectively to an output terminal of said filter, said antenna switch terminal, said receiving terminal and antenna terminal;
• a directional coupler for detecting an output of said amplifying system;
• and
• an output control circuit for receiving said power control signal and power detection signal of said directional coupler and for supplying a power control signal to said amplifying system;
• wherein
• said directional coupler includes a first line to which said output is supplied and a second line for outputting a signal to form the control signal to be supplied to said control terminal, and a width of the first line is different from a width of the second line.

A high frequency circuit module, comprising:

• a plurality of amplifying systems respectively for amplifying the high frequency signal to be transmitted,
• a plurality of independent directional couplers for detecting outputs of said amplifying systems;
• and
• an output control circuit for receiving detection signals of said amplifying systems and a power control signal and for supplying the power control signal to said amplifying systems, wherein
• said directional coupler includes a first line and a second line that are allocated in parallel with each other at a part thereof and a width of said first line is different from a width of the second line of said directional coupler for outputting said detection signal.

A wireless communication system, comprising:

• an amplifying system for amplifying high frequency signals to be transmitted;
• a directional coupler for detecting an output of said amplifying system;
• and
• an output control circuit for receiving a detection signal of said directional coupler and a power control signal and for supplying a power control signal to said amplifying system;
• wherein
• said directional coupler includes a first line and a second line that are allocated in parallel at least a part thereof, and a width of said first line is different from a width of the second line of said directional coupler for outputting said detection signal.

A wireless communication system, comprising:

• a plurality of amplifying systems for respectively amplifying high frequency signals to be transmitted;
• a plurality of independent directional couplers for detecting outputs of said amplifying systems;
• and
• an output control circuit for receiving the detection signal of said directional coupler and a power control signal and for supplying the power control signal to said amplifying systems;
• wherein
• said directional coupler includes a first line and a second line that are allocated in parallel at least at a part thereof, and a width of said first line is different from a width of the second line of said directional coupler for outputting said detection signal.
