Claims18
A solid procatalyst prepared by contacting
- i) a soluble species obtained by reacting at least one transition metal compound of empirical formula MLxX4-x wherein M is selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium, and hafnium, each L is independently a monoanionic, bidentate ligand bound to M by two atoms selected from the group consisting of oxygen, sulfur, selenium, tellurium, nitrogen, phosphorus, arsenic, antimony, and bismuth, or mixtures thereof, X is a halogen selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine, and 0<x≦4, with at least one alkylating agent in at least one aprotic solvent, with
- ii) a support.
