In a chain driving engine, in order to uppermost prevent to adhere the rubber made elastic seal member set by inner rim of an opening for chain of a metal gasket used as joint seal which contains three contacting area portion of a chain case and a cylinder block and an underside of cylinder head, the metal gasket is constituting below. A metal gasket is setting an elastic seal member set an inner rim of a chain opening of the metal gasket, and a through hole is set a metal plate part of outside of the elastic seal member for storing a spilled liquid gasket material when it is overtightening.
