Abstract
The compound 1′-[4-[1-(4-fluorophenyl)-1H-indole-3-yl]-1-butyl-spiro[isobenzofuran-1(3H,4′-piperidine] is active in models predictive of antidepressant effects and is useful for the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of depression or diseases associated with depressive symptoms.

A method of treating depression, comprising administering the compound 1′ -[4-[1-(4-fluorophenyl)-1H-indole-3-yl]-1-butyl]-spiro[isobenzo-furan-1(3H),4′ -piperidine] or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a person in need thereof.
