Dynamic precoding resource block group size for QR decomposition

An apparatus for wireless communication at a network node, comprising:

• one or more memories;
• and
• one or more processors, coupled to the one or more memories, configured to cause the network node to:
• receive an indication of a dynamic precoding resource block group (PRG) size user equipment (UE) capability;
• transmit, in accordance with the dynamic PRG size UE capability, a dynamic PRG size configuration;
• transmit, in accordance with the dynamic PRG size configuration, an indication of a dynamic PRG size of a PRG that contains a plurality of resource elements (REs) associated with a common Q matrix derived from a QR decomposition;
• and
• transmit data using the dynamic PRG size.

A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• transmitting an indication of a dynamic precoding resource block group (PRG) size UE capability;
• receiving, in accordance with the dynamic PRG size UE capability, a dynamic PRG size configuration;
• receiving, in accordance with the dynamic PRG size configuration, an indication of a dynamic PRG size of a PRG that contains a plurality of resource elements (REs) associated with a common Q matrix derived from a QR decomposition;
• and
• receiving data using the dynamic PRG size.

A method of wireless communication performed by a network node, comprising:

• receiving an indication of a dynamic precoding resource block group (PRG) size user equipment (UE) capability;
• transmitting, in accordance with the dynamic PRG size UE capability, a dynamic PRG size configuration;
• transmitting, in accordance with the dynamic PRG size configuration, an indication of a dynamic PRG size of a PRG that contains a plurality of resource elements (REs) associated with a common Q matrix derived from a QR decomposition;
• and
• transmitting data using the dynamic PRG size.
