Transmission parameter modification

A user equipment (UE), comprising:

• at least one transceiver;
• at least one memory comprising instructions;
• and
• one or more processors configured to execute the instructions and cause the UE to:
• receive, via the at least one transceiver, a first message comprising:
• a first value of a communication parameter associated with a first transmission to be transmitted via a first channel, the first value being assigned to the UE to use for the first transmission, and
• an indication of a range of values associated with the communication parameter, the range of values including the first value and at least one other value, wherein the at least one other value is available to the UE to use for the first transmission as an alternative to the first value;
• select, from the range of values, the first value or one of the at least one other value based on a communication metric associated with the UE;
• and
• transmit, via the at least one transceiver, signaling via the first channel according to the selected first value or the selected one of the at least one other value.

An apparatus configured for wireless communications, comprising:

• at least one memory comprising instructions;
• and
• one or more processors configured to execute the instructions and cause the apparatus to:
• output, for transmission, a first message comprising:
• a first value of a communication parameter associated with a first transmission to be transmitted by a user equipment (UE) via a first channel, the first value being assigned to the UE to use for the first transmission, and
• an indication of a range of values associated with the communication parameter, the range of values including the first value and at least one other value, wherein the at least one other value is available to the UE to use for the first transmission as an alternative to the first value;
• and
• obtain signaling via the first channel, the signaling obtained according to the first value or one of the at least one other value.
