Abstract
User equipment, UE, includes: a receiver configured to receive a parameter indicating whether the UE is restricted or authorized for transmission of user data in a message transmitted on Uplink Synchronization Channel, UL-SCH, from an access network node; and a hardware processor configured to process instructions to determine whether the transmission of the user data in the message is restricted or authorized based on the parameter.
Claims6
A method performed by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
- receiving, from a radio access network node, System Information comprising first information, second information and third information, the first information indicating whether the UE is allowed to initiate an early data transmission (EDT), the second information indicating a first size, and the third information indicating that the UE is allowed to transmit a small uplink data;
- and
- transmitting, to the radio access network node, the uplink data in a message during a random access procedure, in a case where the first information indicates that the UE is allowed to initiate the EDT, a size of an uplink data is smaller than the first size indicated by the second information, and the third information indicates that the UE is allowed to transmit the small uplink data.
A user equipment (UE) comprising:
- one or more memories storing instructions;
- and
- one or more processors configured to process the instructions to control the UE to:
- receive, from a radio access network node, System Information comprising first information, second information, and third information, the first information indicating whether the UE is allowed to initiate an early data transmission (EDT), the second information indicating a first size, and the third information indicating that the UE is allowed to transmit a small uplink data;
- and
- transmit, to the radio access network node, the uplink data in a message during a random access procedure, in a case where the first information indicates that the UE is allowed to initiate the EDT, a size of an uplink data is smaller than the first size indicated by the second information, and the third information indicates that the UE is allowed to transmit the small uplink data.
