Abstract
A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the UE sequentially maps a first number of Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) ports to a second number of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols. The first number and the second number are greater than one. The UE further transmits an SRS from the first number of SRS ports over the second number of OFDM symbols based on the mapping.
Claims30
An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled to the at least one memory and, based at least in part on information stored in the at least one memory, the at least one processor is configured to cause the UE to:
- sequentially map, based on a repetition factor, a first number of Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) ports to a second number of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, the first number and the second number each being greater than one, wherein for each OFDM symbol of the second number of OFDM symbols, a respective subset of SRS ports of the first number of SRS ports is mapped to the OFDM symbol, wherein a number of SRS ports in the respective subset of SRS ports is less than the first number and is based on the repetition factor;
- and
- transmit an SRS from the first number of SRS ports over the second number of OFDM symbols.
An apparatus for wireless communication at a network entity, comprising:
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled to the at least one memory and, based at least in part on information stored in the at least one memory, the at least one processor is configured to cause the network entity to:
- receive a sounding reference signal (SRS) from a first number of SRS ports of a user equipment (UE), wherein the first number of SRS ports of the UE are sequentially mapped over a second number of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols based on a repetition factor, wherein the second number is greater than one, wherein for each OFDM symbol of the second number of OFDM symbols, a respective subset of SRS ports of the first number of SRS ports is mapped to the OFDM symbol, wherein a number of SRS ports in the respective subset of SRS ports is less than the first number and is based on the repetition factor;
- transmit, to the UE, downlink control information (DCI) comprising an SRS resource indicator (SRI);
- and
- receive a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission based on the SRS, wherein the PUSCH transmission is associated with the SRI.
A method of wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- sequentially mapping, based on a repetition factor, a first number of Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) ports to a second number of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, the first number and the second number each being greater than one, wherein for each OFDM symbol of the second number of OFDM symbols, a respective subset of SRS ports of the first number of SRS ports is mapped to the OFDM symbol, wherein a number of SRS ports in the respective subset of SRS ports is less than the first number and is based on the repetition factor;
- and
- transmitting an SRS from the first number of SRS ports over the second number of OFDM symbols based on the mapping.
A method of wireless communication at a network entity, comprising:
- receiving a sounding reference signal (SRS) from a first number of SRS ports of a user equipment (UE), wherein the first number of SRS ports of the UE are sequentially mapped over a second number of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols based on a repetition factor, wherein the second number is greater than one, wherein for each OFDM symbol of the second number of OFDM symbols, a respective subset of SRS ports of the first number of SRS ports is mapped to the OFDM symbol, wherein a number of SRS ports in the respective subset of SRS ports is less than the first number and is based on the repetition factor;
- transmitting, to the UE, downlink control information (DCI) comprising an SRS resource indicator (SRI);
- and
- receiving a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission based on the SRS, wherein the PUSCH transmission is associated with the SRI.
