Non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a negative electrode mixture multilayer coating

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising:

• a positive electrode;
• a negative electrode;
• and
• a non-aqueous electrolyte, wherein
• the negative electrode comprises a negative electrode current collector, and a negative electrode mixture multilayer coating formed over a surface of the negative electrode current collector,
• the negative electrode mixture multilayer coating comprises a first negative electrode mixture layer opposing the negative electrode current collector, and a second negative electrode mixture layer layered over a surface of the first negative electrode mixture layer,
• the negative electrode mixture multilayer coating includes a negative electrode active material including graphite particles, and a highly dielectric material having a higher dielectric constant than the graphite particles,
• the highly dielectric material is dispersed in the negative electrode mixture multilayer coating,
• a second inter-particle porosity of a second matrix between the graphite particles in the second negative electrode mixture layer is higher than a first inter-particle porosity of a first matrix between the graphite particles in the first negative electrode mixture layer, and
• a first percentage content of the highly dielectric material in the first negative electrode mixture layer is higher than a second percentage content of the highly dielectric material in the second negative electrode mixture layer.
