Abstract
A system or method for receiving audio data from an area via one or more audio sensors and correlating the received audio data to known audio data, wherein correlation of the received audio data to certain known audio data indicates a likely carbon monoxide emission process. In response to identifying audio data that is likely generated by a carbon monoxide emission process, performing a mitigating action, such as activating an alarm or opening a vent.
Claims20
A carbon monoxide (CO) monitoring system for a garage, comprising:
- an audio sensor configured to be disposed in a garage structure that is configured to house at least one CO producing device, wherein the audio sensor is configured to detect sound and provide audio data based on the sound;
- a computing system configured to:
- receive the audio data provided by the audio sensor,
- filter low priority sounds out of the audio data to provide filtered audio data;
- determine whether the filtered audio data is indicative of a CO emission event based on the filtered audio data and audio templates of an audio database;
- and
- identify and execute one or more actions in response to determining the audio data is indicative of the CO emission event.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
- receive audio data associated with a garage from an audio sensor;
- filter low priority sounds out of the audio data to provide filtered audio data;
- determine whether the filtered audio data is indicative of a CO emission event within the garage based on the filtered audio data and audio templates of an audio database;
- and
- execute one or more actions in response to determining the filtered audio data is indicative of the CO emission event.
A method, comprising:
- receiving audio data associated with a garage from an audio sensor;
- filtering low priority sounds out of the audio data to provide filtered audio data;
- determining whether the filtered audio data is indicative of a CO emission event based on the filtered audio data and audio templates of an audio database;
- and
- executing one or more actions in response to determining the filtered audio data is indicative of the CO emission event, wherein the one or more actions comprise initiating a CO detection sensor.
