Abstract
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for configuring applications on a device using a contactless card. An application executing on a device may receive a cryptogram from a contactless card associated with an account. The application may transmit the cryptogram to a server. The application may receive, based on the cryptogram, configuration information for a plurality of applications associated with the account. The application may modify a respective configuration of each application on the device based on the configuration information.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- receiving, by an application executing on a mobile device associated with a user account, a cryptogram from a contactless card associated with the user account, the cryptogram being included as part of a digital link sent by the contactless card;
- transmitting, by the application, the cryptogram to a server;
- receiving, by the application based on the cryptogram, configuration information for a plurality of applications associated with the user account;
- and
- modifying a respective configuration of each application on the mobile device based on the configuration information.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, the computer-readable storage medium including instructions that when executed by a processor of a mobile device associated with a user account, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
- receiving a cryptogram from a contactless card associated with the user account, the cryptogram being included as part of a digital link sent by the contactless card;
- transmitting the cryptogram to a server;
- receiving, based on the cryptogram, configuration information for a plurality of applications associated with the user account;
- and
- modifying a respective configuration of each application on the mobile device based on the configuration information.
A computing apparatus associated with a user account comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
- receive a cryptogram from a contactless card associated with the user account, the cryptogram being included as part of a digital link sent by the contactless card;
- transmit the cryptogram to a server;
- receive, based on the cryptogram, configuration information for a plurality of applications associated with the user account;
- and
- modify a respective configuration of each application on the computing apparatus based on the configuration information.
