Image forming apparatus including retractable exposure portion and retractable developing unit

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• a photoconductor configured to rotate about a rotation axis;
• an exposure portion including a substrate that includes a plurality of light emitting portions to form a latent image by exposing surface of the photoconductor, and a support portion supporting the substrate,
• a developing unit to develop the latent image;
• a door for accessing inside of the image forming apparatus by being opened;
• and
• a stay that moves in a direction parallel to the rotation axis,
• wherein the exposure portion being configured to move between an exposure position where the photoconductor is exposed and a first separating position shifted in a direction away from the photoconductor relative to the exposure position;
• wherein the developing unit is movable between a developing position for developing the latent image and a second separating position separated from the photoconductor relative to the developing position,
• wherein the exposure portion moves from the exposure position to the first separating position in response to the door opening,
• wherein the developing unit moves from the developing position to the second separating position in response to the door opening,
• wherein the stay moves in response to the operation of the door, the exposure portion moves in response to the operation of the stay and the exposure portion moves between the exposure position and the first separating position in response to the movement of the stay.
