Structure for providing shade onto a surface and a method for assembling the same

A method for assembling a structure for providing shade onto a surface, the method comprising:

• providing a support frame comprising at least one of an arc-shaped elongated body and at least one of a platform, the support frame being constructed through an additive manufacturing process, the support frame comprising a plurality of prefabricated mounting recesses,
• wherein thickness and density of the support frame being varied along the length of the support frame during the additive manufacturing process;
• and
• securing a lattice structure comprising a plurality of movable panels to the support frame through prefabricated mounting recesses to form the structure.

A system for providing shade onto a surface, the system comprising:

• a plurality of structures connectable to each other, wherein one or more of the plurality of structures comprising:
• a segmented frame comprising a plurality of modular segments being configured to be connected to form the structure, the plurality of modular segments comprising:
• a support frame comprising at least one of an arc-shaped elongated body and at least one of a platform, the support frame being constructed through an additive manufacturing process, the support frame comprising a plurality of prefabricated mounting recesses;
• a lattice structure comprising a plurality of movable panels, the lattice structure being supported and secured to the support frame through the plurality of prefabricated mounting recesses;
• wherein thickness and density of the support frame being varied along the length of the support frame during the additive manufacturing process.
