Abstract
A method for producing an aqueous dispersion of a fluorine-containing elastomer, including polymerizing a fluorine-containing monomer in the presence of a compound (1) having an aromatic ring, a hydrophilic group, and an unsaturated double bond, and an aqueous medium, to produce an aqueous dispersion of a fluorine-containing elastomer containing —CH2— in a main chain.
Claims15
A method for producing an aqueous dispersion of a fluorine-containing elastomer, comprising polymerizing a fluorine-containing monomer in the presence of a compound (1) having an aromatic ring, a hydrophilic group, and an unsaturated double bond, and an aqueous medium, to produce an aqueous dispersion of a fluorine-containing elastomer containing —CH2— in a main chain,
- wherein an amount of the compound (1) is 3 to 5,000 mass ppm based on the aqueous medium,
- wherein the compound (1) is at least one selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by general formulae (1-1) to (1-4):
- wherein the ring A and the ring B are aromatic rings optionally having a substituent;
- R1 to R3 are each independently H, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, or a group represented by —R4—Z, wherein, in the alkyl group, at least one hydrogen atom bonded to a carbon atom is optionally replaced with a group represented by —R4—Z;
- R4 is a single bond or an alkylene group;
- R5 is a single bond or an alkylene group;
- x is an integer of 1 or more;
- Z is —SO3M, —OSO3M, —COOM, —P(═O)(OM)2, —OP(O)(OM)2, —B(OM)2, or —OB(OM)2;
- M is H, a metal atom, NR64, optionally substituted imidazolium, optionally substituted pyridinium, or optionally substituted phosphonium;
- and
- R6 is independently H or an organic group, and any two R6 are optionally bonded to each other to form a ring.
A fluorine-containing elastomer comprising a monomer unit based on a compound (1) having an aromatic ring, a hydrophilic group, and an unsaturated double bond, and —CH2— in a main chain,

- wherein the ring A and the ring B are aromatic rings optionally having a substituent;
- R1 to R3 are each independently H, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, or a group represented by —R4—Z, wherein, in the alkyl group, at least one hydrogen atom bonded to a carbon atom is optionally replaced with a group represented by —R4—Z;
- R4 is a single bond or an alkylene group;
- R5 is a single bond or an alkylene group;
- x is an integer of 1 or more;
- Z is —SO3M, —OSO3M, —COOM, —P(═O)(OM)2, —OP(O)(OM)2, —B(OM)2, or —OB(OM)2;
- M is H, a metal atom, NR64, optionally substituted imidazolium, optionally substituted pyridinium, or optionally substituted phosphonium;
- and
- R6 is independently H or an organic group, and any two R6 are optionally bonded to each other to form a ring.
