Claims20
A seat system, comprising:
- a seat including a seat bottom having a seat bottom frame and a seatback having a seatback frame pivotably supported by the seat bottom frame;
- a spool rotatably mounted to the seat bottom frame;
- a strap retractably extendable from the spool and fixed to the seatback frame;
- the spool is rotationally biased with a torsion spring to retract the strap;
- and
- a locking mechanism movable into engagement with the spool to prevent rotation of the spool and movable out of engagement with the spool to allow rotation of the spool as biased by the torsion spring;
- the seatback being pivotable with respect to the seat bottom about a pivot axis and the spool being positioned seat rearward of the pivot axis.
