Abstract
A composite absorbent body for absorbing a liquid and for use as a sanitary article contains a polymeric absorber equipped with a hydrophilic continuous framework and continuous pores. The ratio of pore volume from pores having a pore radius of 1 μm or higher in the polymeric absorber is at least 90% of the pore volume of all pores.
Claims12
A composite absorbent body for absorption of liquid, comprising:
- a polymer absorbent comprising a hydrophilic skeleton with communicating pores,
- wherein
- a ratio of a pore volume of a pore with a pore radius of 1 μm or greater in the polymer absorbent is 90% or more of a pore volume of the pore,
- a coefficient of variation of a pore distribution in the pore with the pore radius of 1 μm or greater in the polymer absorbent is larger than 1.4, and
- the polymer absorbent has at least two local maximum values of the pore volume in a pore distribution curve.
