Device maintenance in semiconductor manufacturing environment

A method of maintaining a device in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, comprising:

• transporting a semiconductor wafer, via a carrier engaged with the device configured to selectively engage the carrier, along a track configured to receive the device between a first processing station and a second processing station within a semiconductor manufacturing environment;
• determining, by a controller, a distance traveled by the device along the track;
• transferring, using a first transfer component in communication with the controller, the device from the track to a sidetrack coupled to the track responsive to the controller indicating that the distance traveled by the device exceeds a distance threshold;
• and
• performing an operation on the device while the device is disposed along the sidetrack.

A method-A of maintaining a device in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, comprising:

• receiving, on a track, a device configured to selectively engage a carrier configured to carry a semiconductor wafer;
• transporting the semiconductor wafer by moving the device along the track between a first processing station and a second processing station within the semiconductor manufacturing environment to enable transport of the semiconductor wafer, via the carrier engaged with the device, between the first processing station and the second processing station;
• determining, by a controller, a distance traveled by the device along the track;
• transferring, using a transfer component in communication with the controller, the device from the track to a sidetrack coupled to the track responsive the distance traveled by the device exceeding a distance threshold;
• and
• repairing the device upon the device being transferred from the track to the sidetrack, wherein the repairing comprises at least one of:
• replacing a wheel of the device;
• replacing a circuit card of the device;
• or
• dispensing at least one of a gas or a liquid to the device.
