Quick-connect mounting system for surgical components

A surgical system comprising:

• a first surgical component, the first surgical component comprising any one of:
• a surgical navigation tracker, a surgical guide component, a powered surgical instrument component, a surgical hand tool component, a surgical robot component, a passive arm component, a surgical table component, and an imaging device component;
• a second surgical component, the second surgical component comprising any one of:
• a surgical navigation tracker, a surgical guide component, a powered surgical instrument component, a surgical hand tool component, a surgical robot component, a passive arm component, a surgical table component, and an imaging device component;
• and
• a mounting system comprising:
• a first mounting portion coupled to the first surgical component, the first mounting portion comprising:
• a first body, a lip extending from the first body, and a push pin extending from the first body and spaced from the lip;
• and
• a second mounting portion coupled to the second surgical component, the second mounting portion configured to be coupled with the first mounting portion, the second mounting portion comprising:
• a second body extending along an axis, the second body having an outer surface and an inner surface, the inner surface defining a bore that extends along the axis, and the second body defining a plurality of openings through the inner and outer surfaces, a plurality of retainers, each retainer moveable within one of the openings relative to the second body in a direction perpendicular to the axis, and a loading assembly disposed within the bore of the second body, the loading assembly comprising a loading shaft, a stopper, and a push rod coupled to the loading shaft, wherein the loading shaft, the stopper and the push rod are disposed within the bore of the second body, the loading shaft defining a channel along the axis to receive the push rod and an aperture to at least partially receive the stopper, the push rod defining a recess configured to at least partially receive the stopper, and the loading shaft being moveable along the axis to a first load position in response to the push pin interfacing the push rod to move the push rod axially relative to the loading shaft from a locked position in which the stopper is engageable with the second body through the aperture to restrain the loading shaft relative to the second body to an unlocked position in which the recess of the push rod is axially aligned in the channel with the stopper to permit the stopper to move radially inward in the aperture away from the second body to permit the loading shaft to move relative to the second body, wherein in the first load position, the loading shaft abuts the plurality of retainers to move the plurality of retainers to a coupling position whereby each retainer extends through one of the openings to abut the lip of the first mounting portion in the coupling position to secure the first mounting portion to the second mounting portion.
