Breath path configuration for an alcohol detection device

A breath alcohol detection device comprising:

• a housing;
• a first circuit board disposed within the housing, the first circuit board comprising one or more compressible contacts electrically connected to the first circuit board;
• a breath path, the breath path comprising:
• a breath path inlet,
• a breath path outlet,
• a first bend disposed between the breath path inlet and the breath path outlet,
• a second bend disposed between the first bend and the breath path outlet, and
• an elongate portion disposed between the second bend and the breath path outlet;
• and
• a breath path heater, wherein the breath path heater is configured to wrap around an outside portion of the breath path, the breath path heater comprising a plurality of breath path heater contact pads electrically connected to the breath path heater;
• wherein the breath path is configured to fit within the housing;
• and
• wherein the breath alcohol detection device is configured so that insertion of the breath path into the housing causes compression of the one or more compressible contacts by the breath path heater contact pads and forms an electrical connection between the breath path heater and first circuit board.
