Abstract
Materials and methods for producing coffee replicas from individual components are provided herein.
Claims22
A method of preparing a coffee replica, the method comprising:
- forming an aqueous solution comprising:
- water,
- one or more VOCs that are water-soluble, and
- one or more non-volatile compounds that are water-soluble;
- forming an emulsion comprising:
- an oil,
- one or more VOCs that are fat-soluble, and
- one or more non-volatile compounds that are fat-soluble;
- mixing the aqueous solution and the emulsion to form a flavor mixture;
- and
- applying the flavor mixture to a solid substrate to form a coated solid substrate, wherein the solid substrate comprises one or more of legumes or legume seeds and grape seeds;
- and
- wherein the coffee replica is a coffee bean replica or a coffee grounds replica.
