Abstract
Embodiments described herein provide an example data center infrastructure implementing various liquid cooling methods. In at least one embodiment, one or more rack connectors in a data center infrastructure includes one or more embedded heat exchangers to turn a coolant vapor to a liquid-state coolant and distribute the liquid-state coolant towards one or more electronic hardware connected to the one or more rack connectors.
Claims20
A data center infrastructure comprising:
- one or more rack connectors having one or more embedded heat exchangers embedded inside the one or more rack connectors, wherein the one or more rack connectors connect one or more rack manifolds to one or more racks, and wherein the one or more embedded heat exchangers turn a coolant vapor to a liquid-state coolant and distribute the liquid-state coolant towards one or more electronic hardware via one or more coolant lines operatively connecting the one or more embedded heat exchangers inside the one or more rack connectors.
A data center rack connector that is connected to one or more electronic hardware, comprising:
- one or more embedded heat exchangers embedded inside the rack connector,
- wherein the rack connector connects one or more rack manifolds to one or more racks, and wherein the one or more embedded heat exchangers turn a coolant vapor to a liquid-state coolant and distribute the liquid-state coolant towards the one or more electronic hardware via one or more coolant lines operatively connecting the one or more embedded heat exchangers inside the rack connector through the one or more rack manifolds to the one or more electronic hardware.
A method of cooling one or more electronic hardware in a data center, comprising:
- turning, at one or more embedded heat exchangers embedded inside a rack connector, wherein the rack connector connects one or more rack manifolds to one or more racks, a coolant vapor to a liquid-state coolant;
- and
- distributing the liquid-state coolant towards the one or more electronic hardware via one or more coolant lines operatively connecting the one or more embedded heat exchangers inside the rack connector through the one or more rack manifolds to the one or more electronic hardware.
