A positive electrode slurry, comprising a positive electrode active substance and polyether polyol, wherein the polyether polyol has the formula:

• wherein
• n1, n2, and n3 are all integers, with a sum in the range of 1 to 10;
• B1 and B2 are each independently selected from a straight bond and —(CH2)n4—, wherein n4 is an integer, and a sum of n4 and n1, n2, and n3 is in the range of 1 to 10;
• R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 are each independently selected from H, hydroxyl, halogen, a C2-10 alkyl group, a C2-10 alkoxy group, and XM, wherein
• X is selected from —O—, —S—, and —NH—;
• M has the formula:
• wherein
• n is an integer ranging from 2 to 2000;
• and
• D is H or a C1-8 alkyl group;
• R is selected from H, halogen, hydroxyl, a halogenated C1-8 alkyl group, —R7, —OR7, or R7OR8, wherein R7 and R8 are each independently selected from a straight-chain or branched-chain C1-8 alkyl group, a phenyl group, a C1-8 alkyl substituted phenyl group, a C1-8 alkoxy substituted phenyl group, or a halogenated phenyl group;
• and
• at least one of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 is XM.
