Abstract
Described are methods for reducing pulmonary resistance, reducing pulmonary pressure, and increasing pulmonary arterial compliance by providing a inhaled nitric oxide.
Claims17
A method of reducing pulmonary pressure, the method comprising delivering to a patient two or more doses of inhaled nitric oxide over a time period, wherein the two or more doses of inhaled nitric oxide are dose escalating pulsed doses, wherein a washout period is observed between each dose of the two or more doses, and wherein the washout period is about 1 minute to about 30 minutes.
A method of reducing pulmonary resistance, the method comprising delivering to a patient two or more doses of inhaled nitric oxide over a time period, wherein the two or more doses of inhaled nitric oxide are dose escalating pulsed doses, wherein a washout period is observed between each dose of the two or more doses, and wherein the washout period is about 1 minute to about 30 minutes.
A method of increasing arterial compliance, the method comprising delivering to a patient two or more doses of inhaled nitric oxide over a time period, wherein the two or more doses of inhaled nitric oxide are dose escalating pulsed doses, wherein a washout period is observed between each dose of the two or more doses, and wherein the washout period is about 1 minute to about 30 minutes.
