Systems and methods for providing reliable helmet suspension installation

A helmet, comprising;

• a shell comprising an inner liner and an outer shell removably attached to the inner liner, the inner liner comprising a plurality of connection receptacles, a first connection receptacle having a shape that is different from a shape of a second connection receptacle;
• a flexible suspension web, the suspension web comprising:
• a plurality of straps for supporting the shell on a head of a wearer, each of the straps including a connection tab configured to be received in a respective one of the connection receptacles;
• wherein a first connection tab associated with a first strap has a shape corresponding to the shape of the first connection receptacle, and wherein a second connection tab associated with a second strap has a shape corresponding to the shape of the second connection receptacle;
• wherein each connection tab comprises an actuable release mechanism for releasing the connection tab from the connection receptacle in which it is received, and
• wherein the outer shell, while attached to the inner liner, prevents access to the release mechanism of each connection tab.
