Abstract
An aqueous ink contains a titanium oxide particle, poly(acrylic acid) and potassium ions, in which the titanium oxide particle contains titanium oxide, at least part of the surface of the titanium oxide is covered with alumina and silica, and the poly(acrylic acid) content is 0.05 times or more to 0.40 times or less the alumina content in terms of a mass ratio.
Claims23
An aqueous ink for ink jet recording, comprising:
- a titanium oxide particle;
- a poly(acrylic acid) or a salt thereof;
- and
- a potassium ion,
- wherein the titanium oxide particle contains titanium oxide, at least part of a surface of the titanium oxide is covered with alumina and silica,
- an amount of the poly(acrylic acid) or the salt thereof contained in the aqueous ink is 0.05 times or more to 0.40 times or less an amount of the alumina contained in the titanium oxide particle in terms of a mass ratio, and
- an amount of the poly(acrylic acid) or the salt thereof is 0.01% by mass or more to 0.50% by mass or less based on a total mass of the ink.
